Its pretty awesome. It actually has quite a few modes and it looks like a decent length singleplayer “campaign” as well. The most basic version is a versus mode (for up to 4 players) and then each player can choose whether they want to play Tetris or Puyo Puyo. There is also a fusion mode where Puyo Puyo slimes come in the shape of Tetris blocks and both the slimes and tetris blocks will drop. Then there is another mode where you play a game of Tetris and Puyo Puyo at the same time and it just swaps between the two like every two minutes or something. It also includes a party mode where you choose either Puyo Puyo or Tetris and the board will include power up and ways to hamper your opponent such as fast moving blocks etc. It’s pretty great to be honest. There is a Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 as well, but I’ll get that later.
I’ve been binging some VR the past week:
Quest 2 Native:
- Golf+
- Angry Birds VR
PCVR:
- The Room VR (completed yesterday)
- Down the Rabbit Hole
- Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
I must be out of touch.
Quest 2?
The Oculus / Meta Quest 2. It’s the only headset Meta / Facebook / Oculus currently manufactures. It’s a standalone VR headset that can stream PCVR content either wired or wirelessly, but that can also run VR content natively on its custom version of Android.
I also found it to hard. I got kinda half way but I just gave up. Between work and other things I only play twice a week on that kinda game. And then I forget how to play it properly and I have to relearn it so I’m like nah
Finished:
- Mass Effect 3 LE
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s crossover DLC
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s crossover DLC
- Bright Memory Infinite.
I’m very impressed with Bright Memory given that it was developed by a single developer (in his free time). Graphics is awesome and game actually plays very well. Only takes about 3 hours or less, but still… plus a short game was kinda what I needed.
Next I’m going to give Immortals Fenyx Rising and The Council a try.
Been playing my traditional Christmas Holiday game - Cities: Skylines
Played one of the scenarios and also founded a new city.
I love that game. Still want to get more of the DLC content.
I’ve been messing around with a few not settling on any particular. Namely, MS Flight Sim, Riders Republic, The Ascent, It Takes Two, Hades, and a few others.
I was looking for a good RPG for the holidays and loving Divinity: Original Sin 2. SO good! The first game was amazing and I did not think the sequel could top it. I was wrong.
Started playing some Project Zomboid with friends. The game is amazing. Sure the graphics are not the most high tech, however the isometric view, art style and lighting are really well done. The gameplay is also slow and methodical, and really tough. But it is the most complete and authentic Zombie Apocalypse simulator you’ll find.
Finished Maneater and the DLC, so good, so awesome, now a have a void again, what to play next
More minecraft
When I get time I am jamming some old faithfulls:
Cities: Skylines
Stardew Valley
Hearts of Iron 4
Normally I finish old games before starting new ones, but I decided to just indulge a bit. I’m playing:
Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice - a standalone chapter of Shadow Tactics. Lovely real-time tactics game.
Kathy Rain - intriguing, pixel art, point-and-click adventure. Reminds me of classic Broken Sword.
Cross Code - I love this. It’s a huge game and I’ve been putting more time in.
Metroid Dread - finding all the items.
Switched to Crackdown 3. Not bad… I think it is like Microsoft’s version of Saints Row (if I had to compare it to something).
Messing around in Microsoft Flight Sim 2020.
Playing some Metroidvanias, namely, Hollow Knight and Blasphemous.
And my narrative driven game at the moment is Wasteland 3.
Xbox
Cod Infinite Warfare (im actually enjoying this story)
PS
Dead or Alive 6
Detroit become human
TT isle of man 2
Finished my first playthrough of The Council.
It is like a story RPG or a RPG for conversations. I quite like it. Something different and the decisions seem to have deep impact on the story. Will know more after my next playthrough.
I see there is no 2nd season but would love more games like this.
I thoroughly enjoyed Infinite Warfare, from start to finish it was great
Nice, I’ve been thinking about getting it for a long while now.
