I decided to play the free episode before the 4th because the whole season is on special and I couldn’t get a good feel of the game from the trailers alone. So I bought the whole season after finishing the first episode.
I found it very interesting.
I’m totally hooked on Monster Hunter Stories 2. If you want a Pokémon type game and only have a PC, get this game. Its better than any Pokémon game I’ve played. The monsties are so awesome and the story is actually pretty intriguing as well. I’ve never really been a fan of turn based combat but DQXI changed me and I love the combat in this game.
I got hell let loose and Its really good but hard as fuck…
Warhammer total war 2
insurgency sandstorm
brutal doom
Wildermyth, very relaxing game
Warframe, when I want some action
Horizon Zero Dawn when I want some scenery/action/story
I finished Halo Infinite. It was much better than the previous Halo games. That last bit is difficult though!
Now I’m playing:
Age of Empires IV - PC
Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories - XBox
I finished the Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories and loved it. Now I’m playing:
Age of Empires IV - PC
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass - XBox
Narrative focused game is Mass Effect, not getting as much time to focus on this as I would like but enjoying my time with it.
Side hustle games are Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, and Dead Cells. About ready to give up on these as they’re causing me frustration and almost at the point of raging.
It’s one of the main reasons why I haven’t tried Dead Cells or Hades yet. After Sekiro I think I’ll stick to easy games until Elden Ring.
It is interesting, had a discussion with a friend last night, he was raging at the fact that idiot people like to play easy games. He likes a challenge. I told him I am an idiot player since I have frustration all day long and just want to blow shit up when wanting to relax at night.
Making value judgements on how people play games is where the real stupid is.
Im loving Far Cry6, Its good fun, and omg beautiful.
These are all tough games, especially if you’re just playing occasionally. I can understand the frustration then.
They’re great cos they support those short game sessions, those pick up 'n go games. Sometimes I’ll spend hours and sometimes a quick session before bed or going out.
Found a game called Vampire survivors, R27 on steam, simple to learn hard to master, but very satisfying when you “win” Still in early access, but looks like the developer is updating it at a decent pace and at R27 it’s really not that expensive
I finished Monster Hunter Stories 2, the final boss was a damn nightmare. Im gonna take a break before starting with post game content.
Started up Red Faction Guerilla on Switch.
PS
Crash N Sane Trilogy
Marvels Avengers
Mafia (fuuck this game is impressive imo)
I can’t play Souls games, because I find them to difficult and frustrating. I just about gave up on Hollow Knight, because it’s also too Souls-like. Dead Cells and Hades are different - each run starts with a clean slate, but progress is kept and built upon. Hades in particular has a very strong narrative both inside and outside of runs. Neither of them were incredibly difficult and I find the slow progress of building your skills incredibly rewarding. Even the initial bosses that felt insurmountable initially were done within a minute or 2 in later runs. I can honestly recommend you give Hades a try - it’s one of my all time favourite games.
Thanks, you sold them to me now.
I had a really bad experience with Sekiro. I love the Souls games but man Sekiro was just ridiculously difficult. Your timing has to be so spot on.
If Hades and Dead Cells aren’t that bad then I’ll try them out.
Not at all, and super satisfying to play and get better at. They both just have such addictive gameplay loops. And Dead Cells just keeps on giving, they have been putting out so much content for the game.
Started this a few days ago. Wow! Excellent little game that needs more attention!
Hell let loose is such an epic game. I absolutely love it.
Half life 2. Classic game.
cyberpunk so much to do in it. I know people say its a bit of a mess or its not what its meant to be. But I am enjoying it,
