So you’re both playing Elden Ring on a ‘box and a cyberpunk-themed game in PC?
Elden Ring of course, and will be for the foreseeable future.
Right now I am playing the following:
PC:
Divinity: Orinigal Sin 2
Factorio
Rimworld
I’m on a factorio run as well. That game is so addictive… got my nuclear power started this week.
Nice! My base is only set now. Played further on an old save. Nuclear is next but need to beef up defence first. The biters are coming!
I should’ve mentioned, I’m playing on peaceful mode right. Wasn’t lus for biters when I started this run in December.
I’m pretty much only playing Cyberpunk 2077. Focussing on side missions and gigs from the outskirts to the center of the map. Have around 45 hours of playtime and at level 31 now. Once I’m nice and OP I’ll tackle the main story again.
When my son wants to “play” we get into Horizon Zero Dawn. He just runs around a bit and I have to fight off all the robots.
I would probably be playing Elden Ring if it performed properly on my PC. Otherwise I’m still playing Sifu and KOF XV.
Sifu on PC. Flip, this game is hard!
Very disappointing 2 weeks of gaming, I keep buying/downloading games and not liking them. Even the ones I play are boring me. Elden ring was too hard, Lost Ark is too easy until it is impossible. Tried a variety of game pass games and finally settled on Wasteland 3. So far so good.
Wasteland 3 is really great. I hope you stick with it and enjoy it!
Xbox
Elden Ring
PC
ELEX II
Cyberpunk
Biomutant.
I mainly want to play ELEX 2 but it has serious performance issues so im trying to wait for a watch. Pretty sure I’m just gonna start playing it without the patch though.
Ps
Resident evil 3 (remake)
The Takeover
Started playing Phoenix Point.
It is like XCom, but with a smaller budget and mutants instead of aliens.
What do you think of it? I backed it on Kickstarter many years ago but never actually played it. Have been wanting to for a long while.
I like it. I don’t think it is as good as XCom, but I really like the gameplay so with me I guess the bar isn’t too high with these kinds of games. For some context, I even liked Mutant Year Zero (it was just the CTDs that got to me).
With this game though, compared to XCom, they’re a bit lighter on some elements like the base building is somewhat limited and the additions doesn’t feel like they have too much effect. I prefer the base building, research and unit training from XCom.
On the other end though, they do introduce new concepts that XCom doesn’t have like you can have multiple bases, multiple ships flying around with soldiers and there are “foreign” bases that you can visit, trade or even steal from. These foreign bases also give out missions. So there is a whole new dimension that they’ve added to the game. There is also some exploring that you can do on the map to uncover resources, bases and missions whereas XCom was a bit more event driven.
Is anyone here playing Final Fantasy XIV? Hear it has a system that allows NPCs to run dungeons with you, and that there is a patch coming that makes playing it single player very viable.
I played some GT7 yesterday. I bought one of my dream cars, a Renault 5 Turbo, and entered a high speed track race. It was a fast, banked track, and consisted of two races on the same circuit.
The first was relatively easy, but the car did exhibit some tendency to snap oversteer. The next race was a real thriller. The rain came down, and the track was soaked!
Almost any errant input caused my little car to spin. It was such a delicate balance to keep the car on track, while still going fast enough. Eventually, I did manage and felt mighty proud of myself! GT7 has been a good time so far!
I’m at 100 hours into Elden Ring and there is no end in sight. When I’m done I even want to start a new game with a more magic focussed character.
