What was the last movie that you watched?

What pisses me off the most about all these superhero movies is how they keep destroying their timelines, origin stories etc. I have given up trying to keep up with the universes of DC and MC.

Also feel the same about The Samaritan, I knew the plot twist after 10 minutes. It was a bit empty.

I watched: I’m Thinking of Ending Things. It was engrossing, but confusing. I had to look up what actually happened! Still a great movie.

I watched Tag. It was a true-life comedy. I liked it.
Also watched Me Time, which was ok.

Not really a movie but long enough to be, that and I couldn’t find a more suitable place. Found it to be very touching and insightful. Just goes to show how far removed from nature we really are.

The Swimmers (netflix) 8/10, really good movie

We watched Queenpins. It was OK, but the story would maybe have been better suited to a short series than a movie. It felt like too many key points were glossed over, and, even though it was based on a true story, it just seemed too easy and quick. A little bit more character development and a bit more backstory would have made it more fun.

As is, my wife fell asleep after 20 minutes.

Hmmm… This could be my new rating system. How long did it take my wife to fall asleep. If she watches it to the end it has to be good, right?

Thers and I watched Underwater, while it was t a bad movie I am not a fan of Kirsten Stewart. She always has this dumbfounded look on her face. But otherwise a solid 7/10.

I love a classic Western.

Oh dude, I have this on DVD Collectors Edition! It is more than a classic western! It is one the first “modern” westerns, where it aged so very well! Great movie!

Interesting fact, that train explosion was too big by accident! They made some calculation error and nearly killed stunt people. The trailer shows how close the flames got!

This was very good movie! Much muuuch beter than the 2 previous heaps of crap we got.

The Wonder

An engaging, dark, psychological drama. It’s slow paced but not dull, and I like how the captured 19th century Ireland. A good movie which raises some important points, but it’s seriousness is something you have to be prepared for.

Just watched this as a family, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.

Please do yourself a favour and make time to watch this, I found it so heartwarming and touching, it will only cost you 40 minutes or so.

*PSA: skip the trailer and watch the movie!

Black Panther - Wakanda Forever

5 out of 10

I must be suffering Marvel fatigue. This movie was tedious at times, and without Chadwick it is just not the same. It actually felt like a TV movie, with average everything, acting, effects, story etc.

Bonus: Trevor Noah as an AI made me happy.

Funny, I found the movie fine in general, except for the random contemporary music that was used in between… it distracted from the movie too much.

I don’t have too much hope for most of the Marvel movies these days. The latest bunch (except maybe for Spiderman), has not been great and the latest Thor movie was especially disappointing. I’m hoping that Guardians 3 and Captain Marvel will break the bad streak.
