Honestly, you can even use 2 minute noodles in a pinch… Toss the flavour packet and use stock. Add some sesame oil and crushed ginger (pickled is fine). Then put whatever leftovers you have and a boiled egg on top.
Ooh I could spend a lot on those stores!
BTW
Highly recommended. I make my own though…
Only reason I suggest going to the market, if you work on a budget, its cheaper to buy the egg noodles from them since its cheaper!
I can usually find these ones for R30 or so around here. They’re really good!
I’m gonna make my own noodles one of these days.
I love those noodles, prefer soba and rice noodle these days.
Fried rice noodles with stirfry is amazing
I have seen a lot of videos of people cooking with rice noodles. I’m really tempted to get some.
I would send some to you if you want - its well worth it!
I’m sure it’d be cheaper for me to pick some up in Nelspruit than the cost of shipping, but thanks
hehe deal see what you can find !
I know I’ve seen them at Spar and https://riversidespice.co.za/
Our prices are a little higher than the shops you posted, but hey
Yea some spars are awesome now with these things they bring in. Well worth it if you can find it locally.
Biggest thing, rice noodles cooks within 1 min
Anyone ever tried making their own pulled noodles?
Tried once but it didn’t work out.
was very simple, my local veg shop has a section for all the ingredients, so i had my fair share of choice, only thing they didnt have was mirin
Thanks, will look up some recipes.
Saved to my Todist project
Merci beaucoup
There’s a “that’s what she said” in there somewhere…
Looks pretty good!
That chicken reminds me of a chicken my mom used to make. It was pretty much the same thing, but it had Italian salad dressing mixed in with the soy sauce.
We cheated, fish and chips aka calamari and chips for me and fish for the rest for dinner tonight, at least we have a decent place nearby. Except you pay R8 for a tiny tub of tartar sauce…
Ironically the whole dinner for 3 was only R233.
