My steam spendings are like R8000 total over a period of 7 years, so just over R1000 a year. However, I spent more than that basically every single month on games from 2009 to April this year, while I was working at BT Games. It’s really hard resisting new games if you’re surrounded by them all day. 
If PSN had something like this I’d also probably get a huge scare.

To be honest, if I could have all that money back, I would very likely spend it on games. 
First rule about a hobby, never ever feel sorry or guilty for any money spent on it!
