I took a look at my purchase history and dont feel so bad now. It is over a period of 7 years. That is about R800 a year.
Or at least that is what I tell myself, looking for some rationalisation for the expense.
That is how I will justify it to myself as well. My first purchase was on 25 October 2011. That gives me about 7 years on steam.
R1,600 about per year
But a lot of it in the last 3 years has been for Mygaming Secret Santa

My account is almost 13 years old.
So works out to ± R260 per year.
Does that make me a cheap skate? =D

So… roughly R10k over 11 years. Possibly less since the exchange rate was kinder back in the day.
Just a note to the article author (not sure who that is, maybe @SIGSTART or @DieGrootHammer can help with that) the Old Spend is everything before 17 April 2015 not 2005. I was a bit confused trying to figure out how I could have spent so much before I was even on Steam

So factoring the Old vs. Total spend I have only spent $133.28 over the last 3 years - roughly $44/R600 per year
Now it doesn’t look so bad! (Let’s not talk about all the bundles etc.)
