Wonder when the dates for the Open Beta will be announced? I’ve seen rumours of 24 September which would be great considering it’s a public holiday and I often try to lan with friends when there’s a public holiday.
What?! How utterly, despicably, unashamedly… we live in a modern, equal society, where anyone can do anything. There’s absolutely no reason to be this sexist.
When a game related announcement is introduced with the phrase “…reiterating our net bookings guidance for fiscal year 2022…” you just know that the suits are in charge at the company.
ETA:
6% share drop on this news.
Which is what happens when your corporate focus, regardless of sector, is almost entirely on “shareholder return”.
That Yahoo Finance headline is so misleading. The game is delayed by what, 3 weeks, yet that headline makes it seem like it will only launch next year. Also, when reading, it actually appears that the initial drop was all based on rumours BEFORE EA made an announcement. Fickle bunch.
I know it’s only a small portion of the full game and just 4 specialists, and 1 map and 1 mode, but still… 19.GB seems decently sized. Maybe COD: Modern Warfare should take some notes…
While cross-play will technically be enabled for Open Beta, Cross-Play Parties will be disabled, meaning friends on different platforms won’t be able to join in squads and play together. However, at launch Gen 5 and PC will be able to play together in the same cross-play universe. Gen 4 can play together in the same cross-play universe. Sauce
So for the Beta do you think “cross-play will technically be enabled for Open Beta” means that at least me on my Origin install may be able to find you on your Steam install?
