Cyberpunk 2077 — We Have a City to Burn🔥

Can we get some screenshots of people’s characters?

And also what builds are you guys using?

This is my character as he looks at the moment. I’m focusing mostly on assault rifle and blade skill trees but also have some points in the quick hacking.

Aw, man. Seeing this UI layout in a new game makes me happy.

Ok, going to try this game again now, but with KB+Mouse. My new XBox controller isn’t working nicely or not with this game at least. So time to go old-school.

Okay, so you are witnessing a real live character arch in the form of my posts here about Cyberpunk 2077. It started with me lamenting a game breaking bug I encountered and had to a lot of updates, driver installs, restarts and endure a lot of crashes to past. A bug that almost made me refund the game out of pure frustration.

Then I played on, called the game “good. Not great, not perfect, not “the best of a generation”. Just good.” Which at the time was the really feeling I had, plodding through a lot of bugs I had to deal with. I understand that others didn’t have the same extent of bugs as I did, and that sucks, because I read about people saying they only encountered 1 bug, where I had to revert to previous save games 5 times to fix broken missions, missing dialog options and failing a bunch of stuff and various other really invasive bugs.

Then I finished the interlude, got the title screen, installed the latest patch, and played for 5 hours. In these 5 hours, despite some minor clipping and graphical hitches, I encountered no significant bugs in the game. It was all smooth sailing. The map opened up, the REAL side missions started appearing, the main story went 0-100 in no time at all. And I find myself thinking about playing CB2077 when I’m not playing it. It’s allure is starting to find its way into my brain and into my heart. The magic is having its effects.

I’m starting to fall in love with this game.

Wow, Hammer, you’ve really had a rollercoaster ride from prerelease to preorder to playing, and enjoying I might add. I been following your track record here and glad to see you’re getting some love and enjoyment from it.

Finally finished downloading, started it up. Flat line. Checked drivers. Flatline again. Verify integrity of game, another 22gb download starts up. Oh well. It took me 3 days to do 59gb, will have to wait about another 2 days and hope it works.

Ouch. That’s got to be a huge frustration for you. On Steam? I guess because patches were released after you started your initial download they now need to be added to your install.

Also, how kak is your internet connection? No alternatives available/affordable in your ‘hood?

On GoG, and yes my internet is real bad, max 0.6mbs. I live in the middle of nowhere and using radio towers to connect to ADSL that is 30km away from us is the only way.

I am used to waiting

Let’s be honest, trash talking and salt aside, when this game works it works beautifully.

Reading of the bugs online had me hesitant and debating waiting a bit for more patches.

After playing through ± 12 hours and experiencing it first hand the bugs have been exaggerated and is very playable.

Really enjoying it so far

Just started playing this morning. Have had 2 graphical glitches (theres some weird purple lines coming out the vents and 90% of the trees appear behind buildings and through peoples faces (so if theres a tree in the area, it is “in front” of everything else).

I’m with a geforce 1080 and have “high” preset that was selected by default but it really felt like im getting 20ish fps (im street kid so started in a bar, VERY choppy but quite beautiful…also cant seem to get fps counters to work with it so can’t fully tell).

Hopefully the 460.79 nvidia drivers I’m about to download and install give me a boost and fix my graphic issues…but at least they’re minor

EDIT: anyone with 457 or earlier geforce drivers, definitely get the game ready drivers, my fps shot up, the vent steam is normal, no trees. I’m likely gonna be able to jump up the graphics again…don’t be an idiot me and forget to update drivers!

I also have a 1080 and I’m pretty much running on Ultra, except for the settings that are RTX-only. I’ll just confirm if there are any advanced settings I can set the next time I open the game.

Haven’t had any other bugs again since the crash just after the update. Other than that, the game is somewhat unique and not really like anything I’ve played before.

Sadly I’m very well aware my i7 4790 (non k) is the real bottleneck :frowning:
But upgrading it means upgrading board and RAM too…and I simply cannot justify it right now, not while this is currently “good enough” and I have a house to pay off :stuck_out_tongue:

At least you don’t have a 2600 (non K) like me.

I’m in the same boat when it comes to upgrading and that is simply not something I can afford.

Ive been in love with the game almost from the start. . .

So far besides my mirror issue, my biggest frustration is I cant drive in the game, stupid Americans and the wrong side of the bloody road :stuck_out_tongue:
Also 8 hours in and my first flatline… At least I saved just before it happened since I was planning to log off.

My funniest glitch thus far:
Floating chips?
Closeup of my chick (Will do one without a hat if I remember)
