Cyberpunk 2077 — We Have a City to Burn🔥

As far as I know, you need to run in full Fullscreen for Adaptive Sync (G-sync or Freesync, depending on the colour of your card) to work.

So far the only bugs I’ve been getting is people falling through stuff. One was a ninja chicky falling through the stairs which enabled her to shoot at me, but I’m just shooting concrete. I eventually just left the area until I was out of combat mode and continued on my story. Oh, and the smokers in the game, their cigarettes seem to hang in the air (gives a whole new meaning to air pollution).

Other than that I think the game is quite good. There is definitely some feel of Watchdogs and Deus Ex in here, but because it is new developers and a completely different engine, the experience is very different.

Came across this Reddit post which confirms that SSR definitely gives a grainy look to the game.

I really feel sorry for the base console players, Xbox One and PS4.

So IGN has updated their review:

BAD - 4/10
Please don’t play Cyberpunk 2077 on a base Xbox One or PS4. It is a shockingly bad way to experience what is a fantastic RPG on better hardware.

It really seems like CD Projekt bit of more than they could chew this time.

With the original Witcher, they focused on PC, with The Witcher 2 they added Xbox 360, and then with The Witcher 3 they expanded to PlayStation at launch.

Trying to target Cyberpunk 2077 for simultaneous release on two console generations was just a bridge too far…

(As an aside: How did Cyberpunk 2077 pass cert, especially for Xbox One? I thought the whole point to Microsoft and Sony’s walled gardens is to prevent games from launching on the platforms without being optimised to run well on that platform?)

Could ask the same thing about “Life of Black Tiger” on PlayStation.

I mean the game still, mostly, functions. Maybe they just performed UAT and no actual usability testing was performed. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think Sony cares. Or Nintendo for that matter. Lots of asset flip shovelware garbage on the eshop.

“I wouldn’t say that we felt any external or internal pressure to launch on the date – other than the normal pressure, which is typical for any release.”

CD Projekt has said that it didn’t feel any unusual “external or internal pressure” to launch Cyberpunk 2077 on December 10, and explained that the decision not to delay the game was, at least in part, because it “definitely did not spend enough time looking” at compromised last-gen versions. The company also explains that, “in theory” it could have released the game on PC only.

Back home after op, first thing I did was resume my download ;-P. Now I can sleep. Hopefully tomorrow I can play!

Hope everything went well.

Finally in, pumped everything to max, no ray tracing though, my card doesn’t support DXR. Not quite sure how to see FPS but I don’t really care unless it impedes my gameplay.

Very atmospheric game so far.
