I think you’re setting yourself up for failure. DS is hard, but honestly it’s not NEARLY as hard as it’s reputed to be.
You’ll breeze through the first area and then meet a large friendly guy who will give you a sword.

That’s too bad. You have to play DS1 and 2 before you can play DS3. Did no one tell you this?
I played at the most 4 hours of DS1, then rage quitted when I got to the Gargoyles. Never went back and said I’d never play another Souls game ever again. And then these assholes Jedi mind tricked me into playing DS3, as I got the game with the Humble monthly early unlock, accidentally.

Okay, so day one of streaming Dark Souls was a bit of a mix bag. While the stream had its issues from a technical perspective, I think the rest went well. There is something about Dark Souls that intrigues me. Something that I wasn’t expecting to feel. The excitement of fighting is tremendous. And I felt real happiness in beating that first boss. After beating him on the third try I quietly felt a bit confident in my abilities. However the next sequence of event quickly dispelled any of those notions I had.
So far I would say the game is enjoyable. Still a bunch I need to figure out, and lots of getting gud, but I’ll continue. Also I’ll really try my best to sort out the stream.

Thanks. I surprised myself. But yes I did get too easily frustrated and impatient after that first boss fight. I’m still struggling to get into that Dark Souls mindset. But I’ll calm down and try again.
