Set up profiles for the family. Kid Redd says, “You’re not funny Dad.” I think I’m frikken’ hilarious.

I got both an email and SMS for the promo. Email didn’t work, but SMS got me the promo. So I signed up via mobile for the R950 annual deal.

If you registered you have to wait for the SMS or email. The link is universal but you phone number is your account ID which has to be linked for the discount to work. Sms confirms your pink is active.

Massive list of available content and works well so I am quite happy for now.

I checked out their supported devices on their website. No D+ on PS4 listed… I guess they didn’t want to pay SK or whoever holds PSN here by the nuts to put the app up on the PS Store…

I give up on getting it to work

I’ve got to say, that in a world full of SaaS and PaaS I’m surprised they didn’t go for the “X day trial” period before committing.

Though I am a huge fan of this transparency where they allow you to peruse the entire catalogue, and even go as far to let you create and customise your family (profile) members, which kinda allows you to sign up on your own terms. Builds a good level of trust.

I just cant understand why it works with sms’s and phones not emails and passwords

Might be their way of controling account sharing. They allow it but make sure you keep your shares close.

So, really struggled to get this working on my Nvidia Shield. Turns out I have been launching the wrong app. Yes, Disney+ has 2 apps. One specifically for MEA that is made by someone else, and the REAL app made by Disney.

The interface is slightly different, maybe even worse (no quick way to get to your watchlist) and thats also why there are so few profile icons.

There is no info on movie actors or directors, and trailers are lumped in with “Trailers and More”. I dare you to find the Avengers Endgame trailer in between the extra features.

The actual content seems legit, but this is a completely different app to the US and Europe.

Oh, and of course the proper app allows you to sign in with an email address…

The browser app keeps logging us out and asking for a relog in which is a HUGE pain in the ass since our reception is so bad that an SMS sometimes takes 5-10 minutes to come through, which means you are timed out and have to resend.

I am really starting to hate this stupid thing

Yup. I’ve become used to the US app, which I’ve been using for a year now. Our app doesn’t even support landscape mode on an iPad, which is shocking considering that’s how my son uses his iPad - propped up in the cover in landscape mode!

Their live chat support is (not surprisingly) unhelpful and basically is a human bot reading off a list of answers. No ETA on a windows app, no idea if email verification will ever be a thing. What a crock of crap. The core of the strategy to get customers to not pirate content is to make the content accessible. Fail.

From everything I’ve read here and over at MyBroadband, I don’t think I’ll be signing up to this anytime soon.

I wish I could actually browse the content in large amounts instead of this silly carousel.

Does anybody have an issue with the website “flashing”? I just signed up but now when trying to browse the website all the images and everything is constantly flashing. It’s super annoying. On firefox.

I tried Edge and its fine there.

It’s too bad Disney Plus - full list of movies and tv shows online isn’t populated yet…
