Is it appropriate to punch nursing staff? Im getting fed up with the lack of care my father is getting at this step down facility that apparently is capable of handling post operative patients but doesn’t change a dressing that has been full for hours , after we asked them to yesterday, only to find out they still haven’t and it flooded over onto his bedding last night … im actually ready to fight someone…

Do it, find out who the charge nurse is and speak to her. This is why we wont move my dad from his step down facility. At the rehab he was left under just a linen sheet at night when its freezing, they didnt want to change his diapers and so on. all they wanted to do was medicate him into a zombie. I was happy when they released him.
The facility we found dad is not fancy, its homey but it needs some TLC. But and that is a big BUT, the staff cares, they are amazing and work so well with him. They make sure about everything. They take care and they even like him, and he has less aggression issues since at this place since they treat him like a person not a number.
How long does your dad need to stay there?
