Morning all. Top o’ the Tuesday to ya!
That section in the front of the book that shows what section is on what page, is that an index or glossary?
Internet be broken, yo
Greetings
I really have the urge to write an article but i just dont have the time at the moment
I’m up there with ya man.
Neither. It’s a Table of Content.
Index is a list of terms or phrases used in the document with page references to where it was used - goes at the end.
Glossary is a “mini dictionary” of terms used in the document with definitions or explanations in the same place - also goes at the end of the document, before the Index.
That’s it, thanks for the clarification. Been out of school way to long, or perhaps I just need to read more books
Morning people of the palace
Have a good day everyone
Morning everyone.
I swear, the problem with people working from home is that they call emergency meetings and involve you just to coordinate stuff.
Happy Winter Solstice, Southern Hemisphereans. Stay warm this long dark day.
(Missed it by about an hour, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
huh, that might explain the P1 outage a customer said was my fault!

Ugh, sorry, didn’t see that you had already received a very good explanation and answer! And am on mobile so I accidentally deleted my post instead of editing it. And then had to undelete the post. And now edit it. So it looks like 3 edits. CONFUZZLIFICATED!
Oh yay, the bodycorporate now wants to tell me we cannot claim. Apparently my father pushed a claim in dec, that I cannot find. No idea what for. But the office is literally under water and I cannot deal right now.
Urgh… Had a colleague from a senior management position call me on my cell to discuss something I asked over Teams. During the conversation he brought up something that “stays between us” and that he won’t confirm the source that apparently there is someone or a few in the team that think I have my own agenda and prerogative and trying to force myself into being this “manager” of sorts of an organisational design team.
I am shocked and appalled that anyone thinks this and personally feel offended. In a way I am glad they told me, in another I wish they hadn’t. My lizard brain is doing what it does best and starting to doubt my own motives and ambitions.
I feel so conflicted.
Argh it’s really frustrating me.
Perhaps I should just go have a talk with HR.
I’m guessing they might feel threatened.
Funny enough my wife said the same thing.
Sorry for the rant, my mind has been reeling since and speculations are running rampant on who, what, how, where, when, etc.
Sounds like folk on your team are a little intimidated and threatened. To what end though? Does your team even have a hierarchical structure? Are there promotional opportunities for you outside of the OD team that they may assume they should be getting?
If people can’t handle you doing your job as well as you can and getting noticed for it by the people in your organisation who matter, that’s a them problem not a you one.
Hi ho Wednesday! Away!
