[GameClub 18] Hades

Which boons does he have? And does he (she? they? it?) duo with other olympians?

My advice is don’t even worry about the stats. If you’re having fun then it’s all good. The game is meant to have many failed runs so that you can work through the story.

Oh completely, I am having a blast. Though I get a little frustrated when I’m on a banging run then hit Meg and it all goes pear shape :stuck_out_tongue:

I found the Deflect boon on dashing does wonders especially when you can send all the missiles she spams right back at her.

Hence me using the Athena keepsake when starting the escape attempt so I can guarantee a deflect boon right off the bat. I’m kinda partial to attack deflect these days as opposed to dash deflect, as fast hitting weapons deflect much more than the number of dashes you have between cooldowns. Especially when you use the claws - then you’re pretty much doing damage and perma-deflecting at the same time. I get through the Furies with minimal health loss every time that way and, using the health well directly after that, start Asphodel with full health.

Hmm… I should definitely try this. I tend to start with that one that deals more damage from behind enemies. I love using quick and in yer face weapons like the Shiels, Gloves and sometimes the Spear. Really struggling to get used to the Bow and Gun.

They’re perfect companions for attack deflect. You can buff backstab with talents from the mirror and sometimes from Olympian boons rather…

Speaking of, those are permenent upgrades aren’t they? I’ve almost got everything unlocked there (not everything upgraded).

Also constantly working on completing the Book of Fates.

Started Bastion on Switch last night and now I want Hades on Switch. Damnit. It’s too expensive though.

Yup, I’ve unlocked them all and maxed out almost all of them. I’ve respecced 3 times as well to fine-tune my build.

I noticed you can respec for one key, but what is the point of that? Aren’t they all just persistent incremental upgrades, in which case no respeccing is needed as you just contunually make incremental changes.

I didn’t have enough darkness to completely max out all options, as you can switch every talent between 2 types. Maxing out all of them is just too much darkness…

I managed to get the last hit in on Hades! Only for him to rise up again with a full bar of health and pummel my last 5% of health away.

Aah yes, something I never end up using or even taking is a Call of the Gods.

It’s hella useful if you get something that deals damage and makes you impervious, like Ares’ blade rift call. I’ve used it to melt 3x Hydra heads in seconds with one full bar of the God guage.

Made it to Elysium and encountered the boss there, that bull raped me! All with the Bow no less.

I must be improving

Also met the other two sisters on subsequent runs, and pooned them.

I’ve also only just realised you can swap between red/green passive skills from the mirror.

Red/green? Mine are purple/yellow? That’s why I’ve respecced a couple of times, as maxing out both sets of talents is a hell of a lot of darkness.
