Wow that’s a sucky one @Nosferatie!
Yeah lost 0.6 safety rating for that. I’m gutted! I filed a protest but suspect it will be down to racing incident. Car took over an hour to repair so I had to retire.
Was not in a happy space last night. I think I will work on recovering my safety rating. But most like it is going to impact my iRating.
Plus I think I am overdriving the Porsche now. So going to have to focus on consistency rather than improving. Was so close to a mid 1:46
Anyway don’t think I am going to race much this week.
I keep starting the week thinking I’ll do a lot of races and then Monday I practice, Tuesday I do a race or so and then maybe another on Wednesday if I’m lucky and then life just gets in the way. Last week it was my back.
This week I’ll see if I can spend some time racing. I would also like to improve my safety rating. I think I’ll focus more on my iRating once I’m happy with my concentration levels during the racing.
I did my first 2 races last night.
It was quite pleasant. I just held back for the start, tried to stay out of trouble and focus on running a clean race by myself at the back. I ended up making up places as other drivers crashed out or disconnected and gained a bit of SR.
I did the thing!
Well done!!!
Just a heads up that Black Friday is around the corner and that usually on Black Friday or soon after you can get a $100 worth of credit for $75 or something and that can be used to buy cars and tracks and stuff.
Guys, now is the time to get your test drives in! From 3pm today there will be maintenance downtime. During the downtime and a short time after you can drive any car on any track you want, as long as you have downloaded them BEFORE the downtime starts… All links to how to download them in the post below. Guess I now have to try @Nosferatie’s 911 RSR!

Sorry, it is on THURSDAY, not today… Just means more time to download what you want to test!
How long is a short time? Unfortunately I’m not at home at 3pm.
No idea… Hopefully for like a day
I had a look at everyone’s profiles now and wow @oltman, it looks like IMSA is crazy tough. I can’t believe how you are struggling there when you did so well with the MX5 Cup.
@GregRedd I see you’ve only driven one race so far. Have you been a bit busy or is iRacing not your cup of tea?
The first mostly, and a bit of the second. I do want to get into to it a lot more, just need to find the time to sit and focus. Right now I’m more in a “pickup and play” place with driving and racing games. So Grid, Wreckfest and the new Need for Speed are more enjoyable because they don’t really need any thought or attention. Hopefully in the next week or two I’ll find the mojo needed to give iRacing the attention it deserves.
This week I will be racing Silverstone 2011 in the Radical. Both are free and you only need D license
I had a quick look and unfortunately it looks like it requires a C license. The Mazda MX5 Cup has got a chicane this week. Really dislike that.
This is what it shows for me:
Ah, sorry! Maybe you can drop down from C (like I am about to do) after you entered…
Haha I hope you don’t drop down! Good luck!
