I basically installed the game, decided to download everything and our internet was a bit crappy last night (thanks Vodascum) but it completed downloading. So this evening I’ll have a look.
And um the boss isn’t at work today and tomorrow so I’ll log into the site there and look around some more. 
Last night I couldn’t figure out where to configure the steering wheel. I suppose you get into the game proper.

Yes you only setup your wheel once you go into the game and into a practice session. Once there you will go through a wizard to setup the wheel, and it is super easy and almost perfectly sets up the wheel once you’re done.
I am so happy to see so many people joining in iRacing. It is not an easy sim to get into, but man I’ve had the best times during races this past week in iRacing. But I also had some shitty races that just broke my spirit. I guess it depends on the field you’re driving against.
Take good care of your safety rating. It is probably the most important rating at this point in time. In the race it literally does not matter where you end up, as long as you keep a clean race you’re golden.

But sure, my plans for tonight is to do one F1 race since I really want to finish the single player and then I’ll spend some time with iRacing. So if you guys don’t mind that my first time in a car in iRacing will be with you guys then I’ll join you for practice.

Hmmm, I haven’t received any friend invites on iRacing. I was logged in this morning to see if the abomination that was last nights race counted towards by rating. But let me log in and see what’s what.
Also if we race, remember that the Mazda MX Cup is the best place to start. I may join you guys but most probably only at like 9. And the races are every hour on the hour. Or we can just do normal practice on the Jefferson Circuit if you want to. That is the weekly circuit for the MX Cup.

Depending on stuff, I might pop in tonight as well. Definitely feel the need for some stress relief driving and keen to do an official first practice too. Let’s see how many “off circuit - 1X” penalties I can accumulate per hour
