Thats why I want everyone to keep a food diary, it keeps you accountable for what you eat and helps you stop yourself from slowing your progress
I’m wondering if my “eating pattern” is a problem for me. Because I work from 14:00 to 22:00 I don’t eat the “regular” three meals a day.
I’ll usually have one or two slices of toast between 10:00 and 11:00 with coffee and then once I got to work at 14:00 I’ll eat a sandwich and then at around 18:00 I’ll eat another sandwich and then once I get home from work late at night I’ll eat whatever my mom made for dinner.
My mom also packs me sweets for work (I have young nephews so there are always sweets in the house) and I’ll also have a cup of coffee and 2 cookies at some point during my shift. The sweets are usually like a few jelly beans and a sour worm or two or something like that, not like a whole pack or anything.
This is a fact, it is helping me a lot! And that is why I shared it Donsie. Cos I am accountable - but I literally am so proud of myself, I know I need to be more active, Im getting there slowly. That is my biggest issue - but I also decided to push myself this week, I upped my steps to 6500 per day ( I know I am far off the daily recommended but I have been actively getting my steps up Every single day/week since I started this. )
For sweets I still eat a few a day but I have changed it from normal ones to this:

I personally prefer the little lovies - they are amazing and satisfy my need for something sweet in the best way possible - I only have 2 or 3 a day!
I’d like everyone to try cut sugar(sweets, sugar in tea and coffee, coke, cookies, cake etc) completely this week, fight your cravings, use sweetener if needed
Its getting easy for me, I now rather go for some dried mango as a sweet instead of the sweets, or fresh fruit. I just use a little sucralose in my coffee, but since I have max 2 cups a day I am getting there and the sucralose is getting used less
Shouldn’t be too hard, artificial sweeteners give me stomach cramps
Probably needs more sugar
Cutting caffeine, I’ve only had 2 cups thats why
Sorry about that. Barely touched my PC yesterday.
Sent it now.
Thanks everyone, This week i need to see food diary’s from everyone, whether its on paper or an app. Still waiting on 2 people for their weigh ins and i can let everyone know the groups total progress
Hi I am not at home this week at Capetown for the week might not be able to do the paper work this week.
Todays challenge: try get 5000 steps in minimum, drink atleast 2l of water
I’m almost a 1L of water already
I take a 750ml bottle of water (which I freeze) to work everyday and also fill it up once it’s empty most days. At home after work I’ve also switched from having a cup of coffee when I get home to just drinking water.
As for walking I do about 2-5 km at work everyday, not sure how many steps that is.
1 km is about 1300 steps , and well done on the healthy changes
