The Race Director has noted this public statement. Driver of car #24 is reminded that the Race Director has the power to apply retroactive penalties to the drivers’ results should the words not match the actions…
@DarthMol - stoked to have you join us. Going to track down our League invite code for you. Make sure to check back here or in your in-game Mail later tonight for it. We’re doing the Japanese GP at Suzuka tomorrow from around 8pm and hopefully will have figured out how to get you onboard by then.

Great! I’m usually busy on a Tuesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, got a Church small group that meets weekly, but the next 2 Tuesdays (24 Sep, 1 Oct) we’re on a break for the holidays with people going away so I will be available and I’m keen to join in. This week we’re meeting a bit earlier so I may be around 8:30ish.
If Tuesdays are a problem we can always move it to a different day. I"m fine with any day.

I also invited Nosferatie to the league and have strongly encouraged him to join the forum. Will see if he bites.
When I invited him I saw @DarthMol was also a player available to be invited, but then was unsure what was going on… Either way, WELCOME! So chuffed to have more racers!

Ok, so I got in a bit of practice and it’s definitely a lot different from F1 2015 where I was struggling to break 1.40.00!

So I dont mind what time we play, but would prefer to know a little in advance what time to log on. @GregRedd, you call it and then we fall in. Maybe we do our 30 minutes warm-up and then the late comers join for quali? Especially seeing how they already clocking good laps

Sorry all - only just managing to sit down at the PC for the first time today.
Okay, so based on @DarthMol joining the league today (I’ve just sent you a League Invitation - should be in your in-game mail) and possibly running late tomorrow evening, and to give @oltman’s invitee a little longer to accept his invitation, I think we should do Thursday this week again. Then Tuesdays again for the next two weeks that Darth is available. And then we can revisit things for the last two races in the season.
So:
- Round 3 - Japan on Thursday, 19 Sept
- Round 4 - Mexico on Tuesday, 24 Sept
- Round 5 - USA on Tuesday, 01 Oct
- Round 6 - Brazil on TBD
- Round 7 - Abu Dhabi on TBD
Ideally if we can get practice running by 8:30PM - or earlier if everyone’s in before - we should generally be done by 10:00PM
Does that work for most?

Wasn’t there an issue though with start the session before everyone was there though? Someone was stuck as an AI driver or something How did that work last time we did it? Can you - anyone - remember? Did those that were in the Practice session already have to abandon it and then did it restart from the beginning of the 30 minutes? Or did it drop us all into Qualifying? How did we get that AI driver replaced by the real driver?

How do you manage to carry so much speed and still have so much grip through those corners? Been watching your ghost, and it amazes just how fast you are going up that hill through those bends.

Unfortunately I will not be available on Thursday. It’s date night and I won’t be at home then. Can only do Tuesdays or Wednesdays for the race.

Those sweeping bends are such fun to drive, but I do spin out a fair bit when pushing too hard. It’s very easy to overcook the first sector. But I normally go with a higher downforce setup and a very open differential which lets the car bleed off speed in the corners without losing traction too quickly. That also means I don’t really have to break before any of the S bends and just turn in and let the car naturally slow down. Plus it helps that I love Suzuka and have driven it a fair amount of times already.
