this might be a issue with gifts bought during the upcoming sale
" Do gifts expire if they are not redeemed in a certain amount of time?
After a gift has been delivered to a friend, they have thirty days to accept the gift. Once the gift has been accepted, the game is permanently subscribed to the Steam account that it was redeemed on."

Maybe a support ticket should be logged with Steam and ask them whats the best way to do the ss thing
I tend to keep it till the last 2 days and send it out so that the steam guys get theirs a little early.

Nah we did this last year. You aren’t allowed to have new Steam games in your inventory anymore to send to other people.
Last year we bought gift cards, gave it to Wyv and told her to buy the games and send it on to the people.
