This was never done on my 90k service, come to think of it…

ja you would have known, it’s p**s expensive

If it was a bearing failure, it could be from oil starvation

Eeck so my car’s will also need to be replaced then… Flip

I’m going to find out if it’s possible to change my belt to a chain…

It’ll come soon.

Most probably then the oil pump failed, and caused all this kak then.

I’m legally obligated to tell you: I don’t know who I am.

mine is about 15 years old, it took about half a day to change the cambelt, and you have to unbolt half the stuff around the engine, luckily my dad helped out. i tried to only use the best parts then i know premature failures are less likely to happen

the old waterpump looked a 100 years old like it was from the titanic

I wonder if in the end it would just be cheaper to uber everywhere. Will have to work it out.

I can’t imagine a life without a car. Seems cruel and unusual.

it won’t… it cost me R105 to uber 12.1kms. and that’s without the tip.

Hmmm yes that works out to a lot if you have to go to work and back every day.

However. Let’s say you pay R100 per trip to go to work and the same back. That works out to R4000 roughly.

With a car you have to pay off the car, pay for petrol, for insurance, for services.

For someone who doesn’t have to travel far to work and don’t leave the house too often, it’s viable.
