Hoor nou daar. Don’t blame the console or the developer if you suck at the game, that’s on you.
ek worry nie oor die suck nie. ek is gewoond aan dit. ek worry oor die skipped frames en die general choppyness van die game. Dit beinvloed nie my gameplay nie. dit iriteer my net.
Ill let the master explain it.

Just finished the game on PC (using trainer sparingly). The second last boss was awesome and actually not hard at all. The final boss is another story altogether. The chances of me being able to beat him for real are slim to none.
So you cheated then.
Yup. I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Don’t worry I almost used cheat engine on DS3 and I probably would have if it didn’t risk my Steam account.
I did lol. And they softbanned me from playing online. Even after I deleted my saves I’m still banned.
Haha! Damn good thing I stuck it out then
I have to say…the more i play SEKIRO, the more i feel that it is the best FROM game of the lot. the combat is exquisite, forcing you to be agressive one moment and then ultra defensive the next. and it definitely requires more skill than Dark Souls or Bloodborne. In hindsight, those games were actually relatively easy. you could always power level your self through bosses, if you had enough spare time.
And as for the other elephant in the room, the similarly Jap-themed Nioh, i think its an insult to Sekiro to even compare them. The grapple hook in Sekiro is just sublime in its flexibility and ease of use. On the other hand, Nioh had this totally pointless and needlessly fiddly “Stances” gimmick. Literally useless and pointless as you could finish the game without ever changing stances.
Still early days, but Sekiro is definitely a strong contender for GOTY.
Couldn’t disagree with you more. Next to DS2 Sekiro is the weakest FROM game. It’s still great but since it’s no RPG there is no build variation and no real replayability for me.
Comparing Nioh and Sekiro is pointless (one is a RPG and the other an action adventure) , but let me say that Nioh’s combat system has way more depth than Sekiro’s. You might think the stances are useless but I promise you they are not. Once you get to NG+ and beyond you’re gonna have to learn to use stances correctly or you’re not gonna get far. I finished Sekiro and I’m now back on Nioh and the difference is vast in terms of depth.
If you want a gimmick look at Sekiro’s prosthetics. I’m fairly confident you can finish the game without ever using any of them.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Sekiro and its still GOTY so far, but it’s definitely not my favourite FROM game and never will be. It made me remember how good Nioh is and how bad I want Nioh 2.
I love both games though and if you prefer Sekiro then that’s perfectly fine.
If you wanna compare FROM SOFT and Team Ninja games you would do better to compare Sekiro (or even Ninja Blade, which people seem to forget FROM developed) to Ninja Gaiden or Dark Souls to Nioh, those are at least the same genres.
I would do anything for a new Ninja Gaiden. I actually bought NG2 for Xbox 360 as I heard it was quite different from the Sigma 2 version I played.
Sekiro is still a love-hate game for me but I think it’s more love. On Monday I legit spent about 1.5 hours trying to beat a boss. On Tuesday night I beat him first try - or so I thought. It wasn’t even his final form!
There are lost of comparisons between various games going around and I’m going to take the easy way out and say that these games are ALL great. They all offer something different for players who prefer different things.
I kind of like how the lack of RPG elements makes Sekiro more focused and it removes the anxiety of leveling you character wrong. Nioh’s abundance of loot was often a hassle but the variety of armour and weapon combos was fun to experiment with and the Souls games have some of the best atmosphere and boss designs in recent memory.
Well said.
I played Ninja Gaiden Black back in the day on my buddy’s original Xbox, but I couldn’t even make it past the first boss. This was before I got into these challenging games though, usually I HATE hard games and play everything on easy. E.g I gave up on Kingdom Hearts 1 the other day because it is too hard for me, even on beginner mode.
For some reason I love the Soulslike games though. Don’t know why. That does include Sekiro even though it’s not a soulslike game at all.
/I love how you can cheese so many bosses and mini-bosses in Sekiro. I’ve finished it on PC (using a trainer) but I’m also still playing it on PS4 and I’ve cheesed the last four bosses I’ve faced. People are quick to say this is cheating and I’m not really beating the game, but they seem to forget that Sekiro is a shinobi. That’s kind of what shinobi’s did; they are known for having been tricky/sneaky and always looking for an opportunity to catch their enemies off guard etc. As such I believe that cheesing is the correct way to play the game.
If it’s in the game, it’s in the game. Cheesing is a big part of Souls gameplay - emergent gameplay if you want to sound fancy! I wrecked a sub-boss using Sabimaru in Sekiro and I almost felt bad because of how easy it was.
Prosthetics in action. Without any cheats/mods
You take that back!
Haha I cannot. I started a new game in DS2, as soon as I got to Majula I wanted to stop and skip ahead to DS3, but I’ll try to hold out for now.
