Hogwarts Legacy looks like it could be a good bit of fun, if it plays well. I think Miles Morales is going to be a hit for PS, just like the original Spiderman was.

$499 for disc version and $399 for digital. The digital version was never going to compete with Series S as unlike the S it is not a scaled back version of the stronger console. It’s exactly the same but just without a disc drive.
MS will still dominate that target market.
The PS Plus Collection is not exactly competition for game pass either but it’s a pretty decent library to have access to at launch just by having ps plus already. Especially for people coming from other platforms or who just never got a PS4.

Thoroughly and utter “meh”. Nothing to really get excited about apart from the Harry Potter game. And even that will come to other platforms.

I’m confused. Some of those games were never in PS+…
It’s a new thing. If you have PS Plus and you buy a PS5 you can download all those games.
Also, Demon’s Souls is coming to PC and eventually (probably? - it just says “other consoles “) Xbox as well. That’s amazing. The game deserves an ever wider audience. Hope it’s well optimised.
Edit: Demon’s Souls might be a mistake. I didn’t wanna believe it at first but the video is now private on the PlayStation channel.

Did they say anything about playing my current PS4 collection on PS5 without requiring further purchases?
Not yet no but considering the PS Plus collection all those games are obviously backwards compatible so it stands to reason if you own them you can play them.
It might not be the case for game’s you “own” as part of PS Plus though.
Demon’s Souls conformed to still be PS exclusive. Trailer was “human error”. I almost saved R12K.

With the price of the digital PS5, I can really see it outselling the Series X/S by far again this generation.
Personally, I’m in the XBox camp but man, Sony really knows how to do things.

I like that Jim Ryan says there they will support the PS4 for another 4 years or so as I’m not planning to buy a PS5 anytime soon. Not because I don’t want to but because I simply cannot afford such an expensive luxury item without saving up for a long time.
Too bad Demon’s Souls won’t be on PS4 or PC .

I have been struggling with that decision internally a lot. I will always prefer physical media but I also mostly buy digital these days because of account sharing. However, I have a few PS4 physical games that I’d like to just check out on PS5, especially if they will have performance enhancements.
Also certain games, like Demon’s Souls, I really want to have a physical disk for my collection. I still have my Asian PS3 copy and a PS5 copy would be a great friend for it. I’ll most likely buy the game before the console just so I can be sure I have a copy.
Having the disc version also opens up the possibility of playing friends’ copies and buying secondhand.

I’m pretty sure it was clear from the first announcement that Miles Morales would be on PS4. Not surprised about Horizon either.
It wouldn’t surprise me if God of War 2 is cross gen as well.
