Spur is quite expensive, I can get 1kg ribs for cheaper than their 600g ribs at a restaurant place nearby

I started using the supplied DQ Track and app in Feb. I very quickly shot up to Silver status during the first month, with a pending Gold status on the cards for March. If you drive well during the day, you get 25/25 points. Factors like the following deduct points for the day:

  • Hard braking (-2 points)
  • Hard acceleration (-2 points)
  • Hard cornering (-2 points)
  • Using your phone while driving (-1 point)
  • Driving without your phone present (0 points for the trip)
  • Driving at night (unsure, haven’t done it yet)
  • Driving at excessive speeds (unsure, haven’t done it yet)

You also get 10/25 points for each day that you don’t drive. I’m already at 50% cash back based on fuel spend. You have to fill up at Shell or BP though and swipe your Discovery Drive loyalty card when filling up.

EDIT: Last point, they offered me a premium slightly lower than my current insurer (King Price) about 15 months ago with no excess for the duration of the policy. That alone made the sale for me and I regret not using the Discovery Drive cashbacks last year already - I could’ve gotten thousands back by this time already.

Im sad now that I didn’t take this post seriously. I am still waiting for my refund since 9 Feb…

You have to nag them on public areas like FB and twitter

I don’t use either of the shell or bp, I use engen for ebucks and have used ebucks to pay for fuel.

But yea I am an easy silver points wise

The actual cash back will probably be more than the eBucks you’ll earn… You can swipe a Smart Shopper card at both BP as well - not sure what you earn with that though. Still, I earn a little bit of cash back by paying with my Absa credit card (2.5% cash back on fuel if paying with credit card). I can earn 5% at Sasol, but there are very few Sasols around the northern suburbs and getting 50% back is a lot more than 5%. Like 10 times more, literally. :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: And another benefit is the discount on tires at TWT! The discounts are sizable, around 15-20% iirc. Check the benefits sheet on the policy.

The only issue I have is the closest BP is the one in Kenridge and their service sucks so I refuse to use them

I have been using my Engen since my first car - the guys working there all know me :stuck_out_tongue:

Power went out from 4:30pm to 6:00pm today. very loadsheddy hours, hmmmm

I reaaaally want spur now. There’s a spur next to our ice rink, and I could smell it ‘loud and clear’ at last weeks practice. I said, “I can smell Spur. Smells so good!”. One of the girls said, “I put spray on”.

Is Axe making Chops and Wors scent now?

Well it would be nice if I can actually let it heal properly without doing everything my Co workers are too shit to do. Last week I was out doing deliveries and this week aswell. I even asked them just to check the stock on the sheet they send us just to make my life easier but noo the just checked the pallet slips so I had to do everything.

Not going to lie but in the beginning it was fun working here now it’s just absolute bullshit

Morning people of the palace, hope you all have a great day!

@Solitude - its def feeling better, I do feel like I was hit over the head/neck/shoulders - aka bruised. But it is def better, I just hope the boss doesn’t keep stressing me out.

@1nF4m0u5 - I know that feeling! It sucks!

Especially since everything you do is expected of you. It’s not like I have shit of my own that needs to be done

Listen to this new one. So we all have rainsuits (drivers, warehouse dudes and then me) so nowy boss wants me to borrow my suit to the casual that operates the forklift. I told her so a casuals health to you is more important than I guy that fixes all the fuckups and goes out on deliveries while it’s raining. She just looked at me like I’m the insane one
