Thanks, yea I have been tolerating her for a couple of years now, but after last night, I am not gonna be bothering at all anymore, I can do civil. But her childish behavior and spoilt brat behavior has pissed me off now. You don’t keep an argument going when people told you to drop it, she basically insulted my dad who has been a bloody good architect for 30 odd years, by saying her dad with no training designed/drew the plans for their fancy houses. My dad just looked at her and said that he didnt design it, he came up with ideas for the layout and the architect did the design work - she just kept going no her dad did it all. 10mins before that she was going on about how shit her dad has been lately towards them. But she has a bad habit of playing one parent off the other and now she is trying it out here and it failed epically.
By the time she stormed off, my mum went to her to just give her a hug and she physically shoved my mom away. And that got my mum in tears for the night, my dad is furious, and I got to comfort mum and dad till about 2 am to get them to calm down and sleep.

Here is a story that should make you smile (well some of you). My youngest daughter (13) and her group was tasked to create a mini play. Their idea was to do a same sex marriage between 2 of the girls in the group (my daughter being one), they had the whole script worked out in the group and everything. One of the boys in the group was not comfortable with it and told the teacher. The teacher told my kid that the play would be inappropriate because the Bible is against it. I heard of this and wanted to go to war with this teacher. In a move that flattened me, my daughter in her wisdom wrote a letter to the teacher.
The letter basically stated that she will give up on her idea because she does not want to force her opinion of what is right or wrong on the other children in her group since she now knows what it feels like when a teacher does it.
And that is where it ends. Unless the teacher decides to approach me directly on this issue, in which case the kid gloves (pun intended) comes off. I am so impressed with her vision, empathy and method used to diffuse the situation.
I love my kids, they surprise me around every corner.

Lol. I would, but like so much else I’ve discovered about Takealot these last few days, it would go over their heads.
And then they’d send me “The Illustrated History of the Olympic Games” and still not the TV I ordered.
