Morning all!
Ye olde government has lifted curfew restrictions and alcohol sale time limits with immediate effect. I expect that there will be a LARGE nationwide outpouring of relief, a release of all the pent up curfew and pandemic angst, and much jubilation tonight.
And, sadly, an escalation of the damage that it will bring. The shebeens, taverns, clubs, and pubs will be heaving, the roads will be chaos, and the hospital ERs will be stressed to breaking point.
Oh, and the fireworks will be more numerous, start earlier, go on for much longer, and be much louder than in previous years. Take care of your pets early please.

I don’t know what this drinking problem they keep talking about South Africans having is, can’t even beat a few little countries.

It’s not so much how much overall that we drink that’s a problem it’s the binge drinking culture that’s the bigger problem.
Is it allowed to murder staff? 1 came to work without realising he has covid and gave It to the one guy I work with and now I have cto get tested

Just got wet on a run. It started raining out of nowhere.

We needed to know asap since out of 8 staff, 1 is on leave, 3 are positive, that leaves 4 of us to run 2 shops 9 - 7pm 5 days a week and 9-3 on Saturdays for the next 10 days

Went for the rapid test, the lady said since its been 2days for me and no symptoms, technically I’m on day 3, and the only symptoms I have is my usual sinusitis to do the rapid test. Said if I developed symptoms to redo the test but she feels I will be fine
