That was an excellent direct. Lots of good stuff shown.
Here is a short message from the President of Monolith Soft, Tetsuya Takahashi, on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 , which was my highlight of the direct.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delayed to “Spring 2023”. So pretty much still a full year away.
I am sad face. Looking forward to this so much.
Came here to post this. You beat me to it.
Not the best direct for me, too many anime/JRPG games but it ended on a very high note.
I was looking at some pricing of the Switch Lite last night and then lead to some reviews of the device. I think may get one at some point. Seems like a very good device despite being seen as the “budget” version. At least according to Digital Foundry analysis.
I still like it. Has the same hardware as the larger consoles, despite a smaller screen and no TV output capabilities.
Suits me fine, I see it as a mobile console in any case and hardly ever connected my previous one to the TV unless to charge.
I like playing some games which require you to remove the JoyCons. These include, Ring Fitness, Switch Sports and Fitness Boxing. I suspect other games like No More Heroes might be more fun this way too.
You can still connect external JoyCons to the Switch Lite, but then you have to also use that small screen, which is not so viable.
It’s a small (and niche) use case, and thanks to the situation in our country, 80% of my Switch time is handheld. Just something to consider!
edit: also you can only use a wired internet connection with the dock.
I’m in a Switch whatsapp where guys often post consoles for sale. Will let you know.
Events like this always make me want to get a switch…
Anyone interested in Mario Aces and Sushi Striker? Dm if interested
Sold my switch a while back and realised these are the remaining games here.
How’s SMTV?
It’s excellent!
It plays like a classic JRPG, but with the iconic demon summoning and fusion mechanics of the SMT franchise. There’s a good balance between difficulty and fun. Every battle holds some peril and challenge.
The economy and resource management is also quite balanced. I don’t like RPGs where you constantly feel OP and too rich (or too weak for that matter). The caveat is that I am playing on Hard.
I didn’t mean to tryhard, and the only reason I chose Hard is because I can always choose Normal later, but I can’t go up to Hard if it’s too easy. As it turned out, it’s perfectly balanced!
Some highlights from the last Nintendo Direct:
There were many more, including emulated GBA games on the Expansion Pass.
For me, I’m happy to see that Advance Wars and Sea of Stars have release dates at last!
Metroid Prime remaster looks amazing, but I’ve played it a lot in the past, and there’s so much else to play.
I want Metroid Prime so bad!!! I’ll get it eventually. Just a matter of time.
The direct was pretty great for me. GB and GBA is awesome too as I can finally play some older Zelda titles (sort of) natively.
