Using Oculus. Turns out facebook forced login is only from Jan 2023. So I have 2 years to get a Vive
Does anybody else run Thrustmaster gear? I will have a set of T3PA pedals available next week. About 1 year old. Make me an offer.
As far I understand they work as a stand alone add-on. If we hadn’t had to spend so much servicing my wife’s car I’d possibly be in the market
What are you upgrading to? The Pro pedals?
I have them plugged into the wheel, so no USB adapter.
I am getting the T-LCM load cell pedals
Side note, I was about to get this wheel below, but then found out the entire centre console is fake. None of the dials actually work! So, uhm… NOPE!
Dude, where did you find a local supplier of the load cell thrustmaster pedals!? Send a brother a link!
Yip, thats where. And not only do they have stock, but the price is very reasonable compared to initial pricing during lockdown of R8000!
Tried this today. My oh my, what a difference it makes. The control during your braking zones is unbelievable. I feel like a caveman, that just found out about a shifting spanner.
@aldyr and anyone else rocking Thrustmaster, have a look at what will be coming in April!!!

Well hello clarice
So this is a shutup and take my money kind of situation
Anybody still tempted to get into sim racing, this is just about the best wheel available in SA without any import and export worries, local distributors and such. Now also on a sale for a “makes-me-jealous-that-I-could-have-saved-some-money-if-I-bought-it-later” good price.

What are the chances this wheel is fitted to a new base… Direct Drive maybe? I see lots of rumours flying around!
EDIT: Youtube link in higher quality:
I call bullshit. I think they’ll simply offer a firmware update to existing wheels, much like they did for the load cell pedal launch, and be done with it. Those direct drive wheel rumours have been around since 2017. And while, it’s not impossible and this could be a stepping stone, I doubt they’ll launch a DD wheel with a wheel addon, because this wheel has so much cool shit, the DD wheel would overshadow. Also, Thrustmaster has more on offer, for entry up to mid market, than it’s only competitor, Logitech. If they plan on taking on the DD market stallwarts, they’re going to have to get their shit together with a lot more than just making a wheel base. There’s connectors, there’s console platforms licensing to negotiate. There are the question: do we try to reuse our current wheel addons, or do we make adapters, or do we make completely new wheels for the DD base alone.
I think due to their current market (as you said, the entry to mid market) requiring cheaper products, their current wheel set will never be easily interchangeable with a high torque DD wheel. Most of their kit is just too cheap and flimsy. You will need to differentiate between DD products and other products.
This new wheel rim might just be the first wheel to be high enough quality for both systems, so could have some adapter for DD or vice versa.
It took Fanatec ages to get their DD wheel out to market, but they did it properly and knew their rims could handle the forces. TM could do well with a DD rim if they apply the same care and cost saving to it that they did to their load cell pedals. Those pedals, for the price, is amazing!
Has anyone added any custom keyboard tray to their aluminium profile sim rig? I’m looking for ideas. I’ll probably order from https://moduasm.co.za. But I’m not sure how i’d attach a tray for a keyboard. Only really have my right upright available for stuff, as the left upright is full of shifters, handbrake and a button box.
I have been thinking about it, but right now just have a wooden table for keyboard and mouse…
