Hear ye! Hear ye!
Welcome to the official Sim Racing Hub.
I know that we have a lot of individual racing threads but actually don’t have a general hub for all things sim racing related. So I figured I’d set one up. Maybe this will become category unto its own.
Here are some of the dedicated threads to the various leagues, racing games and live sim racing events:
There have been so many live streams of good races taking place during quarantine, and I keep missing them. So I thought it good to have a central place to get you sim racing fix.
Please feel free to share any live stream of any sim race taking place. It can be official broadcasts or single driver perspectives of those races.
I will start with the 3 hours of Nordschleife, just started.
So, we’re about a week away from the launch of F1 2019 (a little less if you’ve pre-ordered the Legends Edition). One feature of the new version that I’ve been particularly interested in since the release announcement are the changes being introduced to the game’s League system.
Codemaster released a blog and a livestream detailing the new League system tools yesterday, and I’m thinking that we definitely need to set up a MEW F1 League using it. So that’s what I’m going to do.
The Time Trial c…

@SlinX and I have been chatting a little about setting up another MEW Racing League Challenge. We’re using F1 2019 for open-wheel racing and Dirt Rally for the off-road stuff. What we’re missing is a good tin-top road racing series. And ideally one in which we can race together in a private lobby rather than one at a time in time-trial type events.
(I know a Grid Autosport league was proposed and the initial setup done by @PsychoFish , but that never r…
So how many of you have ACC?
I would like to start a casual league for those who are keen!

Recent chat over in the Dirt Rally League thread prompted me to go investigate DR2.0 leagues to see how complicated it was to set up/how different to leagues in Dirt Rally. Turns out, its same same only different.
DR2.0 Leagues are still organised through RaceNet Clubs as is the case now. The Club creates Championships which are made up of between 1 and 12 Events. Each Event in your Championship can have between 1 and 12 Stages.
There are a two differences though that either aren’t i…
Super expensive. And super intriguing.
@DieGrootHammer and I were talking a bit about it. @oltman and @GregRedd would you guys ever be interested in throwing your money into an endless pit of well serious sim racing?
The rumours and teasers over the past few weeks have been confirmed: Codemasters is getting ready to release the follow up to the excellent Dirt Rally, with Dirt Rally 2.0 set for a multi-platform release on 26 February 2019.
New cars, new environments and the addition of the official WRX Championship should make for a decent successor to the first one.
DiRT Rally 2.0 dares you to carve your way through a selection of iconic rally locations from across the globe, in the most powerful off-roa…
Automobilista 2 is a racing sim that seems to be gaining traction (badum tish) in the sim racing community since its 1.0 release.
Automobilista 2 is the culmination of a project developed over the course of nearly a decade. At its core, it is a comprehensive simulation of the brazilian motorsports scene, featuring all major brazilian racing series, race tracks and manufacturers.
Packing an even larger roster of diverse cars and tracks than its predecessor, Automobilista 2 ventures further int…

First new Logitech wheel in 5 years apparently.
Keen to see what the sim guys will have to say about it.

TL;DR I hope this isn’t another glorified cash grab through product placement tetris without any meaningful improvement.
I hope Sim Racing Garage does a tear-down. Logitech is a mass producer, and they’ve made some questionable choices in the past. Moving the shifter out of their wheel offering. Rebranding parts as new, but the design not actually being new. Thrustmaster has done similar things.
